The Department has the distinction of providing an entirely learner evolved, learner entered teacher preparation programme namely, B. Ed. (Enriched) which is one of the kind in the whole country.

The Department has a team of technically qualified and academically oriented teachers. Teachers are engaged not only in teaching but also in undertaking research projects and guiding research. They actively participate in several academic forums at regional, national and international levels, such as seminars, conferences and workshops.
